Personnel Support from ITU to Disaster Area

Istanbul Technical University (ITU) provided personnel and supplies to contribute to the efforts for the earthquake victims. The humanitarian support team of 35 people sent from ITU will start working at the aid center established at Adıyaman University to heal the wounds of the earthquake.

ITU Faculty Member, World Renowned Scientist Prof. Dr. Yusuf Yağcı Passed Away

Prof. Dr. Yusuf Yağcı, ITU Department of Chemistry faculty member and one of the most respected names in polymer science worldwide, passed away on January 30th due to a heart attack he suffered while working in his office at ITU Ayazağa Campus, Faculty of Sciences and Letters.

Research Fellowship to ITU Department of Food Engineering Faculty Member

ITU Food Engineering faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Derya Kahveci Karıncaoğlu has been awarded “The Kerry Upcycled Food Foundation Fellowship”, which is given to eight researchers worldwide every year to support research on upcycled foods.
