ITU Students Named “University Innovation Fellows”

Four students from Istanbul Technical University (ITU) were accepted to the University Innovation Fellows program, which is run by Stanford University Hasso Plattner Institute of Design (d.school) and aims to train changemakers on a global scale. Students who successfully completed the 6-week online training process developed their leadership skills in innovation, entrepreneurship and design-oriented thinking and received the title of "Innovation Fellow".

ITU Ranked 38th in the 2024 UI Greenmetric Rankings and First in Türkiye!

ITU Ayazağa Campus became the 38th greenest and most sustainable campus in the world and the 22nd in Europe in the 2024 UI GreenMetric ranking! As the only university from Türkiye to enter the top 50, ITU ranked first in Türkiye again and is proud to be first in Türkiye for the eighth time with this success.

EELISA Rectors signed a joint statement at the EELISA Board Meeting held in Pisa on November 18-19, 2024, hosted by ITU's EELISA European University partners Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna (SSSA) and Scuola Normale Superiore (SNS).

ITU's Success in QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2025

ITU ranked 344th and was in the top 19.7% of 1744 institutions evaluated worldwide in the QS WUR: Sustainability 2025. Our university ranked 59th among 661 institutions in Asia and 158th globally in the "Environmental Education performance indicator". ITU also ranked 1st in Türkiye in the Environmental Impact and Governance categories.

Prof. Dr. Orhan İnce, faculty member of the ITU Environmental Engineering Department, shared the latest developments following field research in the polar regions of Russia regarding the TerrArctic Project, of which he is the scientific director and research leader.
