ITU Seismic Team Won Third Place in USA

ITU Seismic Team won the third place in the architecture area of the international competition in which the world’s leading universities such as UCLA, UC Berkeley, Cornell also participated.

Istanbul Technical University continues to achieve great success in the international arena in its 250^th year. ITU Seismic Team consisting of ITU’s departments of Architecture and Civil Engineering students who design earthquake-resistant structures, which is one of our country’s biggest problems, returned from the USA with a degree.

ITU Seismic Team, which participated in the international earthquake-resistant building design competition for undergraduate students “EERI Seismic Design Competition”, which was organized by the USA Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI) in San Francisco for the first time this year, competed with 34 teams including the world’s leading universities such as UCLA, UC Berkeley, Cornell and won the third place in the architecture category.

ITU Seismic Team, which aims to save many lives in the future with its designs, also aims to achieve degrees in other branches in the competitions to be held in the coming years.
