Academy Award to our PhD Graduate

ITU Graduate School graduate Abdulehad Özdemir was awarded the Academy Award in 6th Path of the Mind Awards in Transportation for his thesis supervised by Prof. Dr. İlker Murat Koç.

Istanbul Technical University continues to crown its 250^th anniversary with success news in various fields. “Path of the Mind Awards in Transportation” given by AUS Türkiye to innovative ideas in order for smart transportation and mobility technologies to develop in our country and to contribute to domestic production were awarded this year as well. 

Our Graduate School Mechatronics Engineering PhD program graduate Dr. Abdulehad Özdemir received the Academy Award in 6th Path of the Mind Awards in Transportation for his thesis titled “Design and Evaluation of Energy Management Systems for Connected Hybrid and Electric Vehicles” supervised by Prof. Dr. İlker Murat Koç.

This award-winning thesis study on increasing energy efficiency and environmental sustainability will shape the future of the automotive industry by enabling the developed energy management system to be used more efficiently with route and traffic density information of connected vehicles.
