In its 250th academic year, Istanbul Technical University (ITU) continues to achieve new successes with its vision of “Transform the Future”. In the AYDA (Asia Young Designer) Türkiye 2022 Competition, organized for the 14th time this year by the Japan-based company Nippon Paint, our students returned with many degrees, including the first place.

In AYDA Türkiye Competition, whose theme was “Converge: Pushing the Reset Button”, the aim was to learn how to make good design through a collaborative relationship between people and nature and to live in unison with nature. Projects prepared under this theme were subjected to a rigorous selection process by a jury of professionals from various universities and the private sector.

The winners of AYDA Türkiye 2022, organized in the two categories of architectural and interior design, were announced at the end of a three-stage elimination process. The students who were selected for the final stage with the jury meetings held in September made their presentations on October 5. AYDA Türkiye 2022 awards were presented at a ceremony held on November 5 at the headquarters of Nippon Paint Türkiye in Istanbul.
