ITU continues to rise in THE World University Rankings 2022
Istanbul Technical University (ITU) rose to the range of 601-800 in THE World University Rankings 2022, rising 200 places compared to the previous year. It continued its upward trend in international academic rankings, ranking 293rd in the research field and 542nd in the teaching field.

Times Higher Education (THE), one of the most prestigious academic ranking institutions in the world, shared the "World University Rankings 2022" based on the data of a total of 2,112 universities worldwide that have achieved a certain standard.
According to the "World University Rankings 2022", in which universities are ranked based on various academic criteria, ITU rose 200 places in the general ranking from the range of 801-1000 last year to the range of 601-800 this year. Thus, it rose to the 4th place in Turkey.
In the evaluations made based on the categories of teaching, research, citations, international outlook and knowledge transfer, ITU became one of the universities with the highest rise among 2,112 institutions. In the research category, it rose from 414th place last year to 293rd place among world universities this year. In addition, it rose from 708th place in the teaching category to 542th place this year.
