Visit from ITU to Purdue University

Cahit Okan, Lecturer at ITU’s Office of International Relations and manager of IAESTE Türkiye, undertook a series of visits in the United States between 20–27 July, including a visit to Purdue University, one of the world’s leading research institutions, with the aim of strengthening academic relations and cooperation.

Located in the state of Indiana, Purdue University is ranked within the top 100 in both the QS and THE World University Rankings.

During the meetings, discussions focused on potential collaboration opportunities between Istanbul Technical University and Purdue University within the scope of Erasmus+ mobility for students and staff, as well as the further development of the IAESTE international internship exchange programme.

A courtesy visit was also paid to the Consulate General of Turkey in Chicago and the Office of the Educational Attaché following Purdue University, during which information was conveyed regarding prospective academic collaborations between the two universities.
