ITU International Relations General Coordinator Prof. Dr. Esra Çapanoğlu Güven, UN World Food Programme Turkey Representative and Director Stephen Cahill, and Turkish Ministry of Youth and Sports General Director of Youth Services Dr. Enes Efendioğlu addressed delegates at ITUMUN'26, which brought a breath of global diplomacy to our Ayazağa Campus.
During the four-day conference, delegates representing countries from different regions of the world discussed current and long-standing global issues in an academic United Nations format. As a result of the sessions, conducted entirely in English and French, resolution documents proposing solutions in line with international standards were drafted in each committee.
Throughout the conference, delegates significantly improved not only their foreign language skills but also their problem-solving, critical thinking, public speaking, and social awareness competencies. Prior to the conference, comprehensive study guides prepared by committee chairs were presented to delegates, ensuring they were academically prepared for the sessions.
At the end of ITUMUN'26, delegates who demonstrated the highest performance in each committee were rewarded based on the committee chairs’ evaluations. ITUMUN'26, which emphasized diplomacy, leadership, and multicultural communication skills, once again successfully demonstrated its goal of training individuals who can play an active role on international platforms.
