Establishing an International Research Network for High-Impact Outcomes through ITU KÜRE

Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Global Researcher Integrative Projects (KÜRE) supports scientific projects with high impact potential that ITU academics will carry out together with international researchers who will work at ITU under the TÜBİTAK 2232-A/B International Fellowship for Outstanding and Early Stage Researchers Program.

Fundamental and advanced research projects are being supported

KÜRE, which began accepting applications on November 19, 2025, supports two separate project types.

KÜRE-T: Fundamental Research Projects

• Output requirement: Within a maximum of two years following the closure of supported projects, three research articles are expected to be published in Q1 journals, at least one of which must be in a journal ranked in the top 10% of its field, according to the Scopus index.
• Project budget: TRY 2 Million

KÜRE-İ: Advanced Research Projects

• Output requirement: Within a maximum of two years following the closure of supported projects, six research articles are expected to be published in Q1 journals, at least one of which must be in a journal ranked in the top 10% of its field, according to the Scopus index.
• Project budget: TRY 4 Million
