The project, led by Assoc. Prof. Ali Sinan Çabuk, a faculty member at the İTÜ Department of Electrical Engineering, is titled “Sustainable Approaches with Artificial Intelligence Algorithms for Seawater Cooling Pump Systems to Reduce Carbon Emissions and Increase Energy Efficiency in Ships.”
Within the scope of the project, an artificial intelligence-based control system will be developed that optimizes the energy consumption of ship engine cooling water pumps. This system aims to reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions, increase energy efficiency, and promote the widespread use of sustainable technologies in the maritime sector.
