ITU Ranked among the Top 100 Universities in Asia!
Istanbul Technical University (ITU) has placed 97th in the THE Asia University Rankings 2025. The university's attributes in research quality, research environment, teaching, industry, and international outlook have played a significant role in placing it among the top 100 universities in Asia.

According to the results announced by Times Higher Education (THE), one of the world's leading higher education ranking organizations, ITU has been ranked 97th among the top 100 universities in the THE Asia University Rankings 2025.
Ranking Methodology
The THE Asia University Rankings are conducted based on areas with varying weights. Universities are evaluated in the 2025 THE Asia University Rankings according to the following criteria: research quality (30%), research environment (28%), teaching (24.5%), industry (10%), and international outlook (7.5%). Each area encompasses various performance indicators. The THE Asia University Rankings provide insights into universities' academic and physical infrastructure, their ability to offer quality education, the funding capacity of their research projects, the productivity of their scientific publications, the extent to which their research outputs are utilized within the scientific community, their contribution to regional economic development, and their ability to attract foreign researchers.
