Proud Achievements from ITU RAKE and Rover Teams

ITU students achieved two more important successes with their project teams in both domestic and international arenas. ITU RAKE won the “Best Presentation Award” in TEKNOFEST Technology for Humanity Competition-Disaster Management category, while ITU Rover Team won the third place in the European Rover Challenge 2024 held in Poland.

The scientific and technical competencies that Istanbul Technical University (ITU) provides to its students with the vision of transforming the future continue to bring successful results in competitions. Our student project teams ITU RAKE and ITU Rover made ITU members and our country proud with their achievements in two competitions.

ITU RAKE Team won the “Best Presentation Award” in the Technology for Humanity Competition-Disaster Management category in TEKNOFEST, currently being held in Antalya. With the announcement of the overall ranking list in the coming days, the overall ranking of our RAKE Team will also be determined.

ITU Rover Team came third in the European Rover Challenge (ERC) 2024, which was held in Krakow, Poland on September 6-8 and is the largest Rover competition in Europe. ITU Rover Team competed in Presentation, Exploration and Construction, Deep Sampling, Maintenance, Droning, Autonomous Navigation and Probing tasks. Achieving successful results in these tasks, ITU Rover completed the competition, which included 69 teams from 23 countries, in third place with its overall task progress.
