EU Erasmus+ Support for ITU’s EUNGINEER Project

ITU has been awarded funding from the EU Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Modules for the EUNGINEER project.

The “EU Digital Transformation Tools and Policies for Engineering Students Module – EUNGINEER” project, which is coordinated by Istanbul Technical University (ITU), has been awarded funding under the European Union Erasmus+ Program Jean Monnet Actions Jean Monnet Modules with a total budget of 35,000 Euros.

The EUNGINEER project, led by ITU Computer and Informatics Faculty member Prof. Dr. Abdül Halim Zaim, aims to increase knowledge and awareness among ITU students about the European Union’s digital transformation policies and regulations.

During the project, the European Union’s approach to digital transformation, its limitations, policies and legal regulations will be conveyed to undergraduate and graduate students. The interaction of issues such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, big data and cybersecurity, which form the basis of digital economy and social transformation, and the effects of these interactions on the economy will be examined.

The EUNGINEER project aims to convey the economic, technical and legal dimensions of digital transformation processes, especially to engineering students. The final goal of the project is to increase cooperation between academics working in the field of digital economy transformation and stakeholders who will be affected by this transformation, to ensure that European Union policies are understood by trainers and students, and to provide effective information sharing.
