Great Interest from Prospective Students to ITU 2024 Promotion and Preference Days

ITU Promotion and Preference Days were held at our Ayazağa campus between July 20 and August 2, 2024, with massive participation of prospective students.

The 2024 Promotion and Preference Days organized by Istanbul Technical University (ITU) at Ayazağa Campus was held with great interest. The event, which ended on August 2, 2024, provided university candidates with detailed information about the education programs, research opportunities and campus life offered by ITU.

Candidates had the chance to meet one-on-one with academics and officials at the faculty and department information stands at Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center and received answers to their questions. The stands of the Cybersecurity Engineering and Data Science and Analytics departments recently opened at our university became the center of attention.

In addition, current data and information about ITU’s institutional characteristics were provided to participants at the ITU Rectorate Library. Detailed information about the university’s career opportunities, internship programs and international collaborations was shared with prospective ITU students. Participants also had the chance to explore ITU’s social and cultural opportunities.

ITU is the address of success

During the event, Istanbul Technical University was a main point of visit for prospective students who achieved great success by ranking in the Higher Education Institutions Exam. Face-to-face interviews were held with 231 students who ranked in the top 1000 in YKS 2024 and came to our Ayazağa Campus upon the invitation of ITU Communication Directorate.

As in the past few years, ITU attracted great interest from students who ranked in the top 1000 in the YKS exam with the success scholarships it is giving this year, too.

Live broadcasts attracting attention with high viewing rates

While prospective students were offered face-to-face counseling and information opportunities at our Ayazağa Campus, department and university introductions were also made simultaneously through live broadcasts. The live broadcasts realized through Istanbul Technical University’s social media channels were followed by nearly 60,000 people in total, reaching a remarkably high viewing rate.
