With its long-established technical and scientific background, Istanbul Technical University (ITU) is among the universities that attract the most interest from prospective students. ITU’s recognition and reputation among employers are among the major factors that increase this interest.

According to the 2024 Employer Interest Index results announced by Kariyer.net, ITU Computer Engineering ranked first with its graduates who are hired the fastest according to the university-department combination.

Great interest in Computer, Industrial and Mathematical Engineering

In the index, ITU Computer Engineering Department ranked 1st with 82.3 points, while Industrial Engineering Department ranked 5th with 70.7 points and Mathematical Engineering Department ranked 7th with 70.7 points. Management Engineering and Textile Engineering departments from ITU were also listed among the top 25 departments.

According to the general university ranking results of Kariyer.net Employer Interest Index, ITU is among the top 10 universities with an index score of 73.2.

The index indicates the speed at which university graduates find a job within the first 2 years following graduation and which university’s or department’s graduates employers show more interest in.
