New Achievements from our Project Teams
In ITU’s Year of Global Impact, five more of our Project Teams successfully represented our university and our country in domestic and international competitions and achieved remarkable degrees.

Istanbul Technical University (ITU) project teams achieved successful results in various competitions at the beginning of the summer term. Five more of our project teams made our country and university proud with the awards they won.
* ITU Rover Team ranked 15th among 102 teams worldwide at the University Rover Challenge held in Utah, USA on May 29-June 1, achieving the highest ranking among Turkish teams. ITU Rover ranked 2nd by scoring 34 out of 35 points in the “Core Science” mission and became the 6th team by scoring 63 points in the robot arm mission.
* ITU ROV Team participated in the "TAC Challenge" competition held in Norway on June 10-14 and ranked second in the technical documentation and became the 7th in the overall rankings.
* ITUNOM UAV Team ranked second in the world at the SUAS’24 Competition held in Maryland, USA on June 25-27 with their vehicle named Şimşek [Lightning]
* ITU RAKE, the only team from Türkiye to qualify for the finals, successfully completed the ELROB 2024 competition held in Germany on June 24-28. ITU RAKE Team ranked second in the world among university teams in the search and rescue category and fifth in the overall rankings.
* ITU Seismic Team, which represented Istanbul Technical University in the “7th DASK Earthquake Resistant Building Design Competition” won the third prize with their earthquake resistant design. Our team also ranked second in the architecture category.
