“Pan-European Seal” Introductory Meeting at ITU

The introductory meeting of Pan-European Seal, a traineeship program in the field of intellectual property law, was held online at ITU on February 6, 2024.

Istanbul Technical University hosts visionary events that draw a roadmap for young professionals who want to pursue a career in intellectual property law. The introductory meeting of the Pan-European Seal (PES) program, which offered ITU students the opportunity to obtain sectoral information from experienced employees and academics of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and European Patent Office (EPO), was held online on February 6, 2024.

In the Pan-European Seal program, which involves a year-long, full-time traineeship calendar, trainees will have the opportunity to be appointed to European Patent Office’s Munich headquarters, as well as offices such as The Hague, Vienna, Berlin or Brussels, and also at the European Union Intellectual Property Office’s center at Alicante. The trainees, who will take part in various activities in patent examination, patent law, trademark-design registration, and other related fields, will also have the opportunity for personal development training. The financial support and benefits provided by the program will make it easier for trainees to focus on their careers and succeed.
