TÜBİTAK Scholarship to Our Research Assistant Studying Drought

ITU Faculty of Civil Engineering research assistant Eyyup Ensar Başakın was entitled to conduct scientific research at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a TÜBİTAK PhD Research Fellowship.

Istanbul Technical University Faculty of Civil Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering research assistant Eyyup Ensar Başakın will conduct scientific studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the United States of America with TÜBİTAK 2214-A PhD Research Fellowship.

New agricultural weather forecast drought index

With his scholarship, Res. Asst. Başakın will have the opportunity to continue his studies abroad for one year, aiming to develop a new agrometeorological drought index based on remote sensing with climate, carbon dioxide and flux data obtained from FLUXNET towers, which are rare in the world and measure the cycling of carbon, water, and energy between the biosphere and atmosphere.
