TUBITAK - IraSME Project Support to Our Faculty Member
Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. M. Şeref Sönmez has been granted TUBITAK - IraSME support for his project titled “Reactive Particle Systems Based on Core-shell Nanoparticles for Low Temperature Metal-Ceramic Integration”.

ITU Faculty of Chemical-Metallurgical Engineering, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. M. Şeref Sönmez has been granted support within the scope of IraSME (International Research Activities by Small and Medium-sized Enterprises), an international project support to increase R&D and innovation capacities within the framework of “TUBITAK 1071 - Support Program for Increasing Capacity to Benefit from International Research Funds and Participation in International R&D Collaborations”.
The academic partners of the project titled “Reactive particle systems based on core-shell nanoparticles for low temperature metal-ceramic integration - ReCoShe” are Istanbul Technical University Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from Türkiye and the Fraunhofer Institute for Electronic Nano Systems ENAS (FhI ENAS) from Germany.
In the project whose principal investigator is Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sönmez, Prof. Dr. Sebahattin Gürmen, Dean of ITU Faculty of Chemical-Metallurgical Engineering, will participate as researcher. Sentes-Bir Metallurgy Chemistry Energy Production and Recycling Technologies Inc. and Nanografi Nano Technology Inc. are SME partners from Türkiye. Seidel Werkzeugbau GmbH, MKM Engineering GmbH and ITW e. V. Chemnitz are SME partners on the German side of the project.
