Istanbul Technical University continues to achieve worldwide success in its 250th year. This year, only 50 engineers from around the world were invited to the Council of Engineers for the Energy Transformation (CEET), which serves under the auspices of the United Nations Secretary-General and focuses on accelerating the global energy transition in order to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement.
Our Chemical Engineering graduate Selen İnal, who is one of the 50 engineers invited to CEET and has more than twenty years of experience in various fields of the energy sector, will provide CEET with impartial technical advice and analysis support on developing sustainable engineering solutions for the global energy transition.
We congratulate our graduate, who will also attend the United Nations High Level Political Forum (HLPF) to be held in New York in July 2023 and the Climate Change Conference (COP28) to be held in Dubai in December 2023, for being a remarkable example representing women’s leadership on a global scale in the energy sector, where the rate of women employment and women managers is very low, and wish her continued success.
