TÜBİTAK-MESU scientific cooperation project support to ITU academic

ITU Maritime Faculty, Deck and Navigation Engineering Department faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tanzer Satır’s project was entitled to be supported according to the results of the 2021 call of the “2514 TÜBİTAK and MESU Bilateral Cooperation Program”.

In the 250th anniversary of its establishment, Istanbul Technical University (ITU) is adding new ones to its successes with the internationally supported projects of its faculty members. ITU Maritime Faculty, Deck and Navigation Engineering Department faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tanzer Satır’s project titled “Development of Innovative Technology for Disinfection and Purification of Ballast Water of Ships in accordance with the Quality Standard D-2 of the International Requirements of the IMO Convention” will be supported within the scope of the 2021 call of the “2514 TÜBİTAK and Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (MESU) Bilateral Cooperation Program”.

ITU focuses on impact-oriented research to transform the future, and as a reflection of this, it takes part in projects supported by collaborations in different parts of the world. Our faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Satır will carry out his project supported within the framework of “2514 TÜBİTAK and MESU Bilateral Cooperation Program” with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Valentyn Chymshyr from Danube Institute of National University in Ukraine.
