6 Patent Awards for Inventions from ITU
İTÜNOVA TTO won a total of 6 awards with the patented inventions it supported in various fields at the 6th ISIF’21 International Inventions Fair.

Participating in the 6th ISIF’21 International Inventions Fair organized as part of TEKNOFEST, İTÜNOVA TTO won a total of 6 awards, including 1 special award, 1 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals, with the patented inventions it supported in various fields.
At the fair, IFIA (International Federation of Inventors’ Associations) Best Academic Invention Award was given to Prof. Dr. M. Oğuzhan Külekçi for his patent titled “Method of Securing Data with Less Encryption”, which is registered in Turkey, America, Japan and Europe. ISIF’21 Gold Medal was given to the team consisting of Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu, Prof. Dr. Ebubekir Yüksel, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Eyvaz, Serkan Arslan, Res. Asst. Ayşe Yüksekdağ, Res. Asst. Serkan Güçlü and Taha Aslan for their patent titled “Fine Cavity Nanofiber Advanced Osmosis Membrane Manufacturing Method”, which is registered in Turkey and America. The Silver Medal was given to Prof. Dr. Oya Atıcı and Asst. Prof. Dr. Member Erdem Tezcan for their patent titled “A Mass Delignification”, which is registered in Turkey, America and Russia. Another Silver Medal was awarded to our students Turcan Tuna, Etka Gökbel and Salih Ertuğ Övür for their patent titled “Foldable Unmanned Aerial Vehicle That Can Open and Close Its Arms with Its Built-in Actuator”, which is registered in Turkey. While the owners of the work titled “Combined Stepper Motor”, which is a patent registered in Turkey, Assoc. Dr. Ali Gelir and Berkay Turgay won the Bronze Medal; another Bronze Medal was awarded to the project team consisting of Dr. Güray Ali Canlı, Prof. Dr. İbrahim Akduman, Dr. İsmail Kurtoğlu, Prof. Dr. İbrahim Özkol, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Çayören Hasan Ercan, Muhammet Tarık Tamyürek and Pelin Yavuz.
The invention titled “Fine Cavity Nanofiber Advanced Osmosis Membrane Manufacturing Method” also won a silver medal in ARCA’21 International Inventions Exhibition held in Croatia.
