Great Success of ITU Architecture Students

The Architecture Students Awards given by the Architectural Education Association (ArchED) found their owners. In the ArchED 2021 Student Project Competition, which was held for the twentieth time this year, ITU Department of Architecture students won 10 of the 20 awards in the competition.

The colloquium and award ceremony of the ArchED2021 Student Project Competition was held online on the Zoom platform on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. A total of 20 awards were given to students from 6 different universities in ArchED2021, where a total of 716 projects from 61 universities participated and a total of 101 projects from 21 universities passed the digital pre-selection and were evaluated by the jury. Students of Istanbul Technical University Faculty of Architecture, Department of Architecture, who received 10 of the 20 awards given, stood out in the competition.

Organized for the twentieth time this year by the Architectural Education Association, the "Architecture Students Project Awards" aim to reward the projects of undergraduate students in the architecture departments of universities. The competition was held in two stages this year. After the first stage, the digital pre-selection, the second stage was started and the projects that won the awards were determined with the online jury session. In the competition, an “Success Award”, an “Encouragement Award” and a “Jury Special Award” were given for each category.
