ITU is the Leader in URAP 2020-2021 Turkey Rankings

ITU became the leader among Turkish universities by entering the rankings announced by the University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP) Research Laboratory of the METU Informatics Institute in 15 branches.

In the 2020-2021 field ranking prepared by the University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP) research laboratory of the METU Informatics Institute to draw attention to the strengths and aspects that need to be developed of the universities, the best universities in the world were listed according to a total of 62 science fields. Universities were evaluated according to their academic performance of the last five years, taking into account the articles and citations produced in the scientific fields.

ITU is in the first row in engineering

In the rankings that evaluated 203 universities from Turkey in 24 scientific fields, ITU showed outstanding success in engineering, aerospace engineering, civil engineering, artificial intelligence, geology, earth sciences, and mechanical engineering and ranked first among Turkish universities.

This year, with 15 fields, ITU is at the top of the table that summarizes the world rankings of 12 Turkish universities, which are in at least 5 fields of science in the 2020-2021 world field rankings.

 Our University is also the leader in the rankings based on the number of times of being in the top 3 of Turkey in 62 scientific fields.
