ITU is in top 10 of CoHE’s Virtual Fair
Taking into account the risks that may arise due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Council of Higher Education (CoHE) organized a virtual fair in order that the programs to be selected by university candidates can be promoted by higher education institutions in the digital environment. Istanbul Technical University was among the top 10 most visited universities at the fair.

Istanbul Technical University continues to appear on all digital platforms within the framework of its Online Promotion and Preference Days and to explain its academic culture and international outlook to all prospective students. In this context, ITU took part in “Discover Your University CoHE Virtual Fair 2021” organized by CoHE.
CoHE President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar made the following statement:
In the virtual fair held with the participation of 181 higher education institutions under the coordination of CoHe, representatives of higher education institutions carried out online promotional activities and conducted audio and video interviews with prospective students. Students who visited the booths with multiple representatives from each university had the opportunity to ask questions and consult school representatives.
According to the data announced by CoHE President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, the most visited 10 universities were respectively Ankara, Hacettepe, Marmara, Yıldız Technical, Ege, Bursa Uludağ, Boğaziçi, Middle East Technical, Istanbul Technical Universities, and İstanbul University Cerrahpaşa.
CoHE’s Virtual Fair was visited by 501 thousand persons
“Discover Your University CoHE Virtual Fair 2021”, which aims to facilitate students’ preference process and brings together higher education institutions in the digital environment, attracted great attention from students and parents this year, as it did last year.
Pointing out that this fair allowed university representatives to promote their institutions in the digital environment, Özvar said, “Our virtual fair has been visited 131.327 times by 27.288 registered users in four days. In the virtual fair in which 501.131 page visits occurred, there were 100.245 booth visits.”
