Digital Broadcast Move from ITU

Istanbul Technical University had remote education in 2020-2021 fall and spring semesters just as many other universities. Adapting rapidly to the remote education model and digital transformation, Istanbul Technical University’s digital broadcasts have become the voice of its stakeholders.

Our digital broadcasts increased ITU’s brand value

Commenting on ITU’s live broadcasts, ITU Communication Director Adem Dönmez said the following: “2020-2021 academic year is about to finish… We had online education this year just as many universities. As ITU Communication Directorate, we made our University’s voice heard over digital platforms throughout the year. We obtained very good results in live broadcasts carried out jointly by ITU Rectorate Communications Directorate and Department of Information Technologies (BİDB). We are seeing the outcome of our live broadcast adventure that started on October 16 on ITU’s social media accounts. I can summarize as follows: In this period of 8 months, 86 live broadcasts lasted 102 hours. We reached 227,500 instantaneous views and 598,500 views in total on four social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube). With these broadcasts, brand visibility of ITU (@itu1773) and our brand value increased. We started to publish our broadcasts in podcast format by also transferring them to ITU Spotify account. We observe that the number of listenings in Spotify increases day by day. Our broadcasts will continue and become diversified in the new academic period.”
