Scientific Support from ITU to TÜBA Engineering Terms Dictionary

A protocol was signed between Istanbul Technical University (ITU) and Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) for updating TÜBA Engineering Sciences Dictionary.

ITU will provide scientific support for the second edition of TÜBA Engineering Science Terms Dictionary within the framework of its 250th anniversary celebrations. The protocol signed by ITU Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu and TÜBA President Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker covers the procedures and principles regarding TÜBA Engineering Sciences Dictionary, whose first edition was published in December 2019 and updated and extended second edition is planned to be published in 2023,.

TÜBA Honorary Member Prof. Dr. İzzet Öztürk will undertake the execution of TÜBA Engineering Sciences Dictionary.

Special congratulations from TÜBA for ITU’s 250th anniversary

According to the protocol, the names of persons who take part in updating the second edition of TÜBA Engineering Sciences Dictionary and are reported to TÜBA will be on the tag of the second edition of the dictionary. Likewise, the tag of the dictionary will include the sentence “Turkish Academy of Sciences thanks Istanbul Technical University for its scientific support for updating and extending the dictionary and congratulates its 250th anniversary.”
