Our Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Lale Ergene is on TÜBİTAK Advisory Board

ITU Faculty of Electrical and Electronics, Department of Electrical Engineering faculty member Prof. Dr. Lale Ergene has been elected as a Member of the Advisory Board of Electrical, Electronics and Informatics Research Support Group (EEEAG) affiliated with TÜBİTAK Academic Research Funding Programs Directorate.

ITU Faculty of Electrical and Electronics, Department of Electrical Engineering faculty member Prof. Dr. Lale Ergene has been elected as a Member of the Advisory Board of Electrical, Electronics and Informatics Research Support Group (EEEAG) affiliated with TÜBİTAK Academic Research Funding Programs Directorate.

Prof. Dr. Lale Ergene

After receiving her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from ITU Electrical Engineering Program, Prof. Dr. Lale Ergene completed her Ph.D. at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI, NY, ABD) Electric Power Engineering Program (2003). Between 1999-2003, she worked as support engineer at MAGSOFT Corporation (NY, ABD). Following one year of post-doctoral experience in 2003, she gave lectures at RPI as visiting faculty member in 2004. Between 2005-2021, she served as Vice Director of ITU Informatics Institute and Graduate School of Science and Technology, Director of Informatics Institute, Vice Dean of Faculty of Electrical and Electronics, and Dean of Students. She participated in a total of 21 national and international scientific projects at various positions such as principal investigator, researcher, consultant. In 2021, she was honored by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) as Senior Member. Her area of expertise is the design, modeling and control of electrical machines. Prof. Dr. Lale Ergene is a member of the Advisory Group of the Presidency of the Turkish Republic BTYPK (Science, Technology and Innovation Policies Board) Motor Technologies Road Map Advisory Group. She is married with two children.
