108 İTÜ Students among the STARs of the Future

The results of Trainee Researcher Scholarship Program (STAR) initiated by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) in order to encourage undergraduate students to acquire R&D culture, take the first step into the research ecosystem and do research were announced. Projects by 108 İTÜ students were eligible for support as STARs of the future.

The results of Trainee Researcher Scholarship Program (STAR) initiated by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) in order to encourage undergraduate students to acquire R&D culture, take the first step into the research ecosystem and do research were announced. Projects by 108 İTÜ students were eligible for support as STARs of the future.

İTÜ is the Second Most Scholarship-Winning University

12,709 students applied to the research project call for undergraduate students within the framework of Trainee Researcher Scholarship Program. After the scientific evaluation, students accepted to the program were determined. Considering the 1500 students to be supported within the framework of the program, METU is in the first row with 147 students, followed by Istanbul Technical University (108) and Hacettepe University (72). Students from 134 departments in science, engineering, health and social sciences fields became STAR scholars.
