Our Students Received Two Trophies in Sailing

ITU Sailing Club achieved success in two categories at the 16th Campus Cup Sailing Races organized by Marmaris International Yacht Club.

Istanbul Technical University (ITU) students are gaining recognition with their success in various sports branches. ITU Sailing Club achieved significant success by competing in different categories in the Campus Cup Sailing Races, organized by Marmaris International Yacht Club for the 16th time in Marmaris Bay on March 15-17, 2024.

ITU Sailing Club competed in the 16th Campus Cup Sailing Races attended by 300 sailors from 18 teams and managed to rank in two categories.

In the IRC-2 category, our team captained by Department of Shipbuilding and Ocean Engineering student Umut Efe Alpkoçak came second, while our team captained by Department of Electrical Engineering student Akın Özseven came first in the IRC-3 category. Trophies were presented to the ranking teams at a ceremony.
