ITU 250th Anniversary Activities Assessment Meeting was Held

Istanbul Technical University, which plans to celebrate its 250th anniversary in 2023 with many activities, held a consultation meeting with important names who are experts in industry, trade, economy, politics and education and ITU graduates.

ITU held a meeting hosted by our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center in order to plan the projects and events to be organized in 2023 as part of the 250th anniversary celebration activities. “ITU 250th Anniversary Events Presentation and Information on Current Situation Meeting” was held with the participation of important names from ITU graduates in industry, trade, economy, politics and education. In the meeting held within the scope of ITU 250th Anniversary celebration activities, information was given on the planned projects and activities.

At the meeting, it was emphasized that 2023, when ITU will celebrate its 250th anniversary, will also be the 100th anniversary of our Republic, and consultations were made on the activities previously outlined. In addition to the ITU 250th Anniversary Logo Competition announced in March and the ITU 250th Anniversary Motto Competition announced in April, information was exchanged about the contents of sports events, symposiums and interviews, exhibitions and museums, concerts, broadcasts and documentaries planned to be held by the ITU Rectorate. It was also decided to plan and conduct events to be organized by a committee to be formed.

It was informed that the calendar of the events planned to be held throughout 2023 and all kinds of project documents, logos, posters, announcements, invitations, announcements and similar documents and visual documents to be used in celebrations and events will be published on the ITU 250th Year website (https://250yil.itu.edu.tr).
