Young Designer Award to Our Graduate Dilara Ajun

Istanbul Technical University Faculty of Architecture, Department of Urban and Regional Planning graduate Dilara Ajun won the Young Talent of the Year award in Architecture Leaders Awards 2021 organized in Middle East.

The award ceremony held at Dubai was attended by hundreds of designers from 22 countries. The category included 12 finalists working at world-famous architecture companies, selected from among architects from diverse nations.

While receiving her award, our graduate Dilara Ajun said the following: “As a Turkish woman, I am honored to receive this award in Dubai. I would like to thank everybody who contributed, especially my family and my professors at Istanbul Technical University.”

We congratulate our graduate who represented our country and our university at the international arena and wish her continued success.

Dilara Ajun

Dilara Ajun was born in 1988, and graduated from Istanbul Technical University Faculty of Architecture in 2011. Afterwards, she worked in development projects at Tahincioğlu Real Estate Development Company while also doing her master’s at Istanbul Technical University Real Estate Development program. Dilara Ajun moved to Dubai in 2013, and started to work at ATI Consultants, Architects & Engineers, one of the leading architecture companies in United Arab Emirates. At the same time, she continued her Architecture education at the University of London-Middle East Program. She graduated in 2016. She is currently working as Creative Director at ATI, and has designed various projects such as master plans, high-rise towers, educational campuses, some of which received international awards. Her goal as a designer is to create original projects that meet the user’s wishes and also respects cultural identity and nature.
