Environmental Service Award to Our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu and Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hale Özgün

Our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu and Department of Environmental Engineering faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hale Özgün became the 2019 winners of Environmental Service Award given by Akdeniz University (AU) Environmental Problems Research and Application Center and the Engineering Faculty of the same university.

The awards that are being organized by Akdeniz University Environmental Problems Research and Application Center for 23 years and given to persons, institutions and organizations who serve preservation and development of environmental values found their owners in Science Honor, Science Service, Science Encouragement and Special Award categories besides Turkey and Antalya scales.

In Environmental Services Awards, which rewards studies for making Turkey a country capable of sustainability and waste management, our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu received the award in the “Science Honor Award” category while Department of Environmental Engineering faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hale Özgün was given “Science Service Award” category.

Our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu, who is also a faculty member in the Department of Environmental Engineering, was awarded for his “Environmental Science Studies at National and International Scale” and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hale Özgün was awarded for her “Environmental Science Studies at National and International Scale”.

Our scientists were granted this award given for the 23^rd time this year as a result of the joint evaluation of Akdeniz University Environmental Problems Research and Application Center and the Board of the Engineering Faculty of the same university.
